Major credit cards are accepted plus a 3% fee. Payments made by cash, debit, e-transfer, or wired have no fee.

Guests with reservations may have visitors during the day, at a rate of $10 +taxes per adult visitor per day. Family rates for visitors of our guests will be at the discretion of the hosts. Visitors are not permitted to park on the grounds. Free parking is available on the street. All overnight stays require a reservation.

Extra Vehicle at the discretion of the Hosts $10

Damages caused by guests, their visitors or pets may be charged to the guest after check-out.

 

Rules for Guests

Check-in Time is 1 pm, Oct 1 - May 16 and 3 pm, May 17 - Sep 30. Check-out Time year-round is 11 am. Extensions available at the discretion of the Hosts.

Speed Limit through Strongwater is 10 km/hr. Children may be playing and animals wandering throughout the grounds.

Pack in, Pack out! We do not have garbage or recycling bins. This includes full doggy bags and cigarette butts! Violations may be charged

Bathgate Grocery Store in Egmont will accept large garbage bags for $6.00. Recycling depots are available in Pender and Powell River. Pender - Highway 101 & Menacher Road (604-883-1165) Powell River - Between Rona (4750 Joyce Ave) & the Community Resource Centre (4752 Joyce Ave).

Keep noise to a reasonable volume during the day. Respect your fellow campers’ right to tranquility and quiet. Follow the Quiet Time Rule: 11 pm to 8 am.

This is a hobby farm. For the safety of our animals who live here: Keep your pets on a leash at all times; Pick up after your pets and do not leave plastic bags; Pick up all cigarette butts off the ground and out of the fire pits; Do not leave plastic straws, balloons, string, wire, plastic bags, or any other garbage on the ground or in the fire pits. Visiting hours to see the animals up close are between Noon and 2 pm or with permission of the Hosts. We ask adults & their children to respect our privacy and the well-being of our menagerie. Keep your distance from our roosters. They will attack if they feel threatened at all.

To avoid attracting wildlife into your site, keep all food inside your cabin or vehicle when not using it.

Replace picnic tables if you move one. Do not move fire pits.

Fires are permitted unless there is a fire ban. Fires must be kept within the fire pit and supervised by an adult. Firewood is on site when available. $30/wheelbarrow.

Leave Mother Nature alone. Do not cut or remove branches or leaves or put nails or wrap wire around trees. No graffiti on anything. Leave no trace.

Children 8 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult in the Wash House. Extra cleaning or damage will be charged to responsible adults violating this rule.

All water in Wash House is potable and can be used for refilling your water bottles and jugs. Please do not bring plastic, non-refillable bottles.

Use the Dish-washing Station in the center of the Wash House for filling bottles or washing dishes. Do Not Use for washing hair, laundry, or brushing teeth!

Only service dogs are allowed in the Wash House.

Visitors of Guests must leave by 10:30 pm and may not use the showers.

Strongwater Camping & Cabins is not responsible for vehicles or property guests bring on site.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be made by email to strongwaterbc@gmail.com. After cancelling, you must check your email for confirmation.

Full Refunds will only be issued for the following reasons:

  1. Cancellation is made 3 months in advance of your scheduled arrival date.

  2. Cancellation is made 7 days in advance of your scheduled arrival date if BC Air Quality Health Index is 7 or higher (if forest fires and smoke are in close proximity.)

  3. Cancellation is due to serious illness, accident, or death of an immediate family member. Written proof (doctor’s certificate, death certificate, accident report) must be provided.

No Refunds will be issued for the following reasons:

  1. Early departure - No exceptions.

  2. Cancellations made within 7 days prior to scheduled arrival date.

  3. General illness.

  4. Weather conditions.

  5. Vehicle or equipment failure.

  6. No shows or evictions.

  7. Holiday weekend cancellations less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date.

  8. Errors made by you while making reservation unless rectified within 24 hours.
